We gave a Kenyan wood carver a block of compressed recycled HDPE plastic to see if it has right properties to be carved. The results are impressive – in an hour he carved this beautiful lion portrait – our school mascot. According to him it carves beautifully. His only requests: more single tone colors and larger pieces to work with – both of which can easily be arranged!
