We recycle plastics, but what about all the rest of the rubbish we collect?
We deposit it at the ISK recycling facility where Taka Taka Solutions picks it up and sorts it into more than 40 waste categories at their depot.
We recently visited their Banana Hill operation and were blown away by the efficiency and sustainability of their operation. Employing over 200 full time people Taka Taka strives to make Nairobi and Kenya a cleaner, healthier place to live by giving our rubbish a second life by recycling over 95% of the rubbish they collect – this represents one of the highest recycling rates in the world!
