Plastiki Rafiki is the proud recipient of the 2020 AISA (Association or International School in Africa) “Outstanding Service Project Award”. The award celebrates and rewards excellence and creative problem-solving in service. It also provides the winning project with additional financial support to help develop or sustain projects that demonstrate the ability to address legitimate local community needs.
The current project leaders, and ISK Seniors, Amani Kiruga, Vanshika Virmani, Camila Parsons and Oliver Rudd received the award in behalf of all Plastiki Rafiki members at the 2020 ISK Graduation Ceremony. Big thank you to these leaders / founders and to AISA for the support and continuing to be at the forefront of promoting service learning in Africa through its network of member schools.
