These Turtle Nest Tags are made out of 100% recycled beach plastic! They show the date the nest was laid, how many eggs if it was relocated, and when the eggs are due to hatch.
While on holiday at Sand Island Beach Cottages we were lucky enough to witness a turtle lay eggs on the beach and see first hand the amazing work the local Turtle Conservation group were doing protecting these amazing creatures through careful nest monitoring and protection. We hope the tags help them in their work and at the same time, let everyone know the meaning of these mysterious stick formations. A shout out to all the amazing environmental organizations working hard to protect our magical Kenyan coast!
