All over east Africa the Humble “Mutungi” is used to keep petrol to power outboard engines. Widely available at a fraction of the price of marine fuel tanks these containers keep our boats moving. Since the containers were not designed for this purpose the hoses are usually fed directly through the top, risking water contamination and spillage.
To tackle this issue we designed an ergonomic screw on cap with in built fuel hose fitting and breather valve that turns your standard cooking oil drum into a leak-free and water-tight outboard tank. Molded out of 100% recycled HDPE harvested from discarded/leaking oil containers!
