Plastiki Rafiki created trophies and medals made out 100% recycled plastic for the recently concluded Faraja Cancer Support Trust Whitewater rafting challenge. The gold, silver and bronze medals designed by ISK students where manufactured by the Futbol Mas Mathare workshop out of discarded plastic collected in the community.
The event, held at Savage Wilderness in Sagana, is an annual fundraiser for the trust. The Faraja Cancer Support Trust was founded in 2010 with the aim of providing emotional, practical and healing support to anyone affected by cancer.
