ISK students recently traveled to the Round Square Conference in Oxford, UK. Bringing together more than 800 delegates from 50 countries around the world, this year’s conference theme was “Take Less and Be More” – a collective pledge that together as a generation, “we will carefully consider what we take from our environment and the people around us, and always put back more than we take”.
In the spirit of this pledge, during the traditional “pin exchange” that happens during the event, the ISK delegation brought Plastiki Rafiki pins. Designed by ISK students and made from discarded plastic by our recently set up Gachie workshop, these pins not only clean up the environment but provide much-needed income to those who need it most!
