Yesterday, we were honored to welcome the U.S. Embassy Nairobi Ambassador to Kenya, Ms. Meg Whitman to the ISK campus. After a brief welcome from our youngest students, Ambassador Whitman visited ISK’s Design & Art Center, where she was given a presentation of Plastiki Rafiki by the members of the club. Ambassador Whitman, who was accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) Mr. Marc Dillard, was visibly impressed by this student-led social enterprise, and delighted to receive a personal memento of their work.
Student agency and innovation are cornerstones of an ISK education and we were honored to have Ambassador Whitman and DCM Dillard witness this first-hand.
